Hartwell Service League, Inc., LLC is a non-profit volunteer service organization that provides support and funds to projects and organizations working to meet needs within Hart County. Member of the Georgia GFWC and the General Federation of Women’s Clubs
Scholarships for College-bound Female Graduates
Females graduating in Spring 2024 are invited to apply for one of our Hartwell Service League scholarships. Five scholarships are available with 3 being awarded to students accepted at a traditional college and 2 being awarded to students headed to a vocational/technical school. In honor of our 50th anniversary, members of the Arts & Culture made 50 hearts to give to businesses in Hart County.
New Signs for Hart County Schools
Civic Engagement and Outreach, with help from Arts & Culture, replaced old, outdated signs near the exits of all Hart County schools. The signs are meant to brighten students' days, give them encouragement, and reinforce school policies. Thanks to Red Barn Canvas for their help!
Great Backyard Bird Count
Members of HSL and the Environment Committee took part in the annual Great Backyard Bird Count. Members of HSL worked with Garden club members and the Hart County Botanical Garden to participate in the Count.
Arts & Culture
The Arts & Culture committee recognized several members for their contributions in support of Hart County Community Theater in 2023. HSL members were presented with recognition of their efforts at the February meeting.
Environment Committee
To celebrate our 50th anniversary, members of the Environment Committee planted 50 bulbs at Railroad Street Park. Look for these bulbs to add some beauty to the park in the Spring!
