Arts and Culture

Chairperson:
Kristin Joyner

The Arts and Culture Committee's mission is to promote and encourage the arts in our community. Members are encouraged to create, appreciate, and expand their knowledge through the power of music, art, drama, literature, and the culinary arts.. We encourage members to attend and support art programs throughout our community and state.

Patriotic Pride

The Hartwell Service League Art & Culture Committee gathered for an afternoon of creativity, laughter, and patriotic spirit as members crafted festive red, white, and blue hats using recycled cans and plastic plates.
From simple materials came beautiful creations that celebrate both imagination and community. We love seeing our members come together to share ideas, inspire one another, and create something fun and meaningful. Be on the lookout for them around town!
Here’s to creativity, friendship, and a little patriotic flair!

Create Weekend

Our Arts & Culture Committee had a wonderful time hosting a Terrarium Making Class! Members brought their own glass containers, and the committee provided everything else — from soil and stones to moss and beautiful greenery — to help bring each miniature garden to life.

It was a fun, creative afternoon filled with laughter, community, and a little bit of dirt under our nails. We love seeing our members grow together — one terrarium at a time!

Spreading a little love this Valentine’s season!

The Arts & Culture Committee donated “Valentines for Someone Special” to our local Food Pantry to help brighten the day of those in our community.

These small gestures carry big heart, and we’re grateful to our members for sharing kindness and compassion with those who need it most.

HSL Supports Historic Hart County Community Theater

In addition to many hours of volunteering at HHCCT's productions and helping with their promotions, HSL presented a check for $3,000 to the HHCCT board to help fund their necessary building renovations.
