Fall Into Reading
Each year, the Hartwell Service League is proud to sponsor Fall into Reading, a program dedicated to putting books directly into the hands of young readers in our community. Through this initiative, every elementary school student in Hart County receives a brand-new book to take home and keep as their own.
The goal of Fall into Reading is simple: encourage a love of reading while helping build home libraries for local children. By giving each student a book of their own, we hope to inspire curiosity, imagination, and a lifelong habit of reading. This program reflects the Service League’s ongoing commitment to supporting education and investing in the future of Hart County’s children—one book at a time.
Reading in the Laundromat
The Education & Libraries Committee is proud to support Reading in the Laundromat, a community project that brings children’s books to local laundromats. This initiative gives kids something meaningful to do while their parents take care of weekly chores, helping spark a love of reading in everyday places. Through donated books and volunteer support, Hartwell Service League is making literacy more accessible—one load of laundry at a time.
Helping Hartwell Middle School Media Center
The Education and Libraries committee put together funds for the purchase of items for a reading nook that would encourage middle schoolers to visit the media center. Some items were donated by club members.
