The Health and Wellness committee's purpose is to provide education on financial issues and health awareness as well as to promote health and wellness for members of the community.
Each Wednesday, weather permitting, members get together for an invigorating walk along Benson Street from the library to Quality Foods and back. Members that can't be at Walking Wednesdays are encouraged to walk at their own convenience.
Polar Bear Plunge
Polar Bear Plunge 2022 was a great success. HSL sponsored member April Garner, who raised money for NEGACDV and then jumped into the cold waters of Lake Hartwell dressed as the Cat in the Hat! Not only did April win the award for raising the most money as a jumper, $2,515, but she also won a prize for the best costume! Way to go, April! She's a great representative for our club and we are proud to take part in this fundraiser to fight domestic violence. And thanks to the many HSL members who were there to support her.
